Cloves have a beneficial effect on people with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism and can prevent similar disorders. They also help control high blood cholesterol levels.

7. Cloves have anti-inflammatory properties.

Cloves contain eugenol, which has anti-inflammatory properties. As a result, consuming cloves may help minimize symptoms of inflammation.

Ingredients:

 

  • 5 to 7 whole cloves
  • 1 cup (about 250 ml) of water

Instructions:

  • Take 5-7 cloves and rinse them gently.
  • Boil water and add cloves.
  • Cook over low heat for 5–7 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, cover and set aside for another 10 minutes.
  • Strain and drink warm – preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.
