Here is the frozen mixture, cut into cubes and blended again to break up the ice crystals.

NOUGAT ICE CREAM – 1

The mixture is already buttered (crushed) and has an incredibly creamy texture. At this stage, if you notice that the pieces are too frozen, you can help the machine mix with a little milk or cream.

NOUGAT ICE CREAM – 2

Since I like to find pieces of nougat, I cut some and mix them gently with a spatula.

I put them in jars and freeze them until I'm ready to eat them.

NOTES: If you like to find pieces of nougat, reserve some and add them to the mixture once buttered (step 2).

Keep in the freezer.

I wanted to make this ice cream with no added sugar, just the natural sugar from the nougat. If you have a sweet tooth, you can add 100% sugar or honey in step 1.
