Doctors Reveal That Drinking Coffee Every Morning Is Causing… Or Not!
Every morning, millions of people start their day with a steaming cup of coffee. A relaxing aroma, an energy boost… coffee has become an everyday ritual. But how many cups does it take before this pleasure becomes detrimental to our health? Doctors are sounding the alarm and reminding us that coffee, consumed in moderation, can also have beneficial effects.
Why is coffee good for your health?
According to Dr. Leana Wen, an emergency physician and professor at George Washington University, "There's strong evidence: moderate coffee consumption is associated with a reduced risk of developing certain chronic diseases."
Numerous studies confirm that moderate coffee consumption
can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease,
decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes
, and protect against certain cancers and dementia.
Coffee contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that support the immune system and help protect cells. Some ingredients also help improve insulin absorption and stabilize blood sugar levels.
But beware of excessive
use. Excessive caffeine consumption can be counterproductive. According to ANSES (the French Agency for Food Safety, Environmental and Occupational Health), approximately 30% of adults and 11% of children in France consume more caffeine than the recommended amount. This can lead to
palpitations and restlessness,
anxiety and nervousness,
sleep disturbances, and
long-term cardiovascular and skeletal problems.
Some people are more sensitive to caffeine, including pregnant women, children, and people taking medications for heart problems or anxiety disorders.
